2008年11月12日清晨6时,中国共产党的优秀党员、黄埔军校同学会副会长程元同志,因病在上海家中逝世,享年87岁。噩耗传来,上海市黄埔军校同学会全体工作人员都深感震惊,因为程副会长作为长期在沪居住的总会领导,平时身体是那样硬朗,参加会议和活动时步伐矫健、腰杆挺直,虽然略有耳疾,但讲起话来思路严谨、声如洪钟,完全看不出是一位80多岁的老者。
At 6:00 a.m. on November 12, 2008, Comrade Cheng Yuan, outstanding member of the Communist Party of China and Vice President of the Whampoa Military Academy, died at 87 years of age at his Shanghai home due to illness. The sad news came as all the staff in Shanghai Whampoa Military Academy were shocked by the fact that Vice President Cheng as the leader of the general assembly who lived in Shanghai for a long time was generally fit and healthy and attended the meetings and activities.
