Using the same enzyme electrophoresis technology to identify different apple varieties works well. Menedez et al. <1986> and Weller, Costante <1986> reported the identification of apple rootstocks by isozyme mapping using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. In our study, horizontal starch gels were used to determine isozymes, a method that has not been used in identifying apple rootstocks.
