《韩非子》虽主张君主倚法、持术、处势,参伍名实以行赏刑二柄而治国畜臣,但并不完全排斥礼。其对礼的认同,沿承和发展了春秋以来各思想学派对“礼”的认识,并产生独到的见解和观点。主要包含三个方面:其肯定“礼”源情而制的特质;站在尊君卑臣的立场,认同“礼”正名分、明等级的作用;在邦国存废的机要上,认识到以敬为体的外交之礼的重要。
