波茨坦之闻名恐怕与“波茨坦会议”不无关系。1945年7月二战胜利前夕,美、苏、英三巨头聚首于此,使波茨坦之名得以载入史册。以前我曾到过波茨坦,但因行色匆匆,只蜻蜓点水般参观了几个宫殿即离去,留下几多遗憾。今年4月我故地重游,不仅有4天时光,而且还有“波茨坦通”当响导,我的探隐寻幽的访问就从这里开始。驻足“丘吉尔公馆”当年丘吉尔住过的地方,现在是民主德国国际关系研究所(亦即国际关系学院)的招待所。作为这个研究所的客人,我们便下榻这座设备齐全的“丘公馆”。这是一座依山傍水的两层楼房。楼前两块绿茵茵的草地上各有一座大理石雕像。其中之一是3个拥抱在一起的裸体少女,她们那顽皮嬉戏的神情给这
Potsdam’s reputation probably is not unrelated to the Potsdam Conference.
