Be careful about premature death The new study investigated the sleep patterns of 1,000 women and 741 men. The participant described his sleep history in detail and received a night’s laboratory sleep monitoring. The results showed that 8% of women and 4% of men were diagnosed with chronic insomnia - these people on average sleep less than 6 hours per night. However, in the following 14-year follow-up survey, the mortality rate of male patients with insomnia was 4.3 times higher than that of healthy sleep mode men.
