矿用电磁流量计研制工作,是从1967年开始的,主要由长沙矿山研究院、广东凡口铅锌矿和我厂等单位负责,于1969年,在上海热工仪表研究所的协助下,在实验室里研制成功φ200毫米矿用电磁流量计,精度达到±1%,并于1970年,在我厂进行了工业试验。曾安装在φ12米浓密机下面的巷道里,用于原矿的洗矿产品——泥矿磨浮系统的矿浆计量,作为选矿生产矿量计算依据之一。后因故暂停使用一段时间。1975年5月,安装了由长沙矿山研究院研制改进,湖南湘潭无线电厂试生产的LD系列B型号电磁流量计。生产实践表明,该仪表对管路无特殊要求,安装方便,占地面积小,反映指示灵敏,可瞬时反映矿浆流量,便于浮选操
