我市是一个草场资源比较丰富,并以饲养奶牛为主的牧业市。近年来,养牛生产得到了长足发展。一是存栏增。1997年末全市奶牛存栏达120126头,肉牛90247头,分别比上年同期增长5.2%和25.34%。二是规模大。全市自1994年以来,先后投资6000多万元,沿安青、安大、安萨三条公路,近百万亩草原,兴建了三条养殖带,新建标准养牛小区17个,建筑面积4万多平方米,人栏牛达2万头。同时,全市涌现出养牛专业乡17个,专业村95个,家庭牛场1829个,专业户12099个,养牛一条街122条。三是标准高。自1994年以来,市委、市政府提出“设施上标准,经营上水平,管理上效益,
