笔者通过对江西省农村初中英语教师素质现状的调查,发现教师的专业水平还有待提高。教师对新课程标准的理念有一定了解,但新理念并未真正转化为教学行为;教师的教学观察能力和科研能力较弱;大多数教师对教师这一职业基本满意,但也有部分教师是迫于生计而被动地选择教师职业的;几乎所有的教师都希望通过继续教育提高自身的素质。
By investigating the current situation of junior high school English teachers in rural areas in Jiangxi Province, the author finds that the professional level of teachers needs to be improved. Teachers have a certain understanding of the concept of new curriculum standards, but the new concept does not really translate into teaching behavior; teachers’ teaching observation ability and scientific research ability are weak; most teachers are basically satisfied with the profession of teachers, but some teachers are also forced Livelihoods and passive choice of teacher profession; almost all teachers hope to improve their quality through continuing education.
