如何在中小学全面地推进素质教育,特别是如何在学科教学中落实素质教育的内容,并体现时代对学生素质的要求,是当前深化教育教学改革的重大课题之一。语文教学虽然经过10多年的改革,取得了一些成绩,也解决了一些问题,但在今天进一步深化改革的过程中,依然同样十分紧迫地面对着这一问题的挑战与回答。省教委计划在今秋召开全省中小学语文教改研讨会,研究进一步深化我省语文教学改革的思路;并以语文学科为突破口,探究在学科教学中实施素质教育的途径与办法。这次会议的召开,恰逢1962年原省教育厅召开全省中小学师范语文教学会议(简称常州会议)卅周年。在我省语文教育史上,1962年的常州会议是一次重要的会议,已故省教育厅厅长吴天石同志在会上所作的题为《加强语文基础知识教学和基本训练》的讲话,当时不仅对我省中小学及师范学校的语文教学起了极大的推动作用,而且在全国也有一定影响。人们同样期待,今年全省中小学语文教改研讨会的召开,将舍对我省乃至全国的语文教学产生积极的、意义深远的影响。为了迎接会议的召开,本刊拟就有关问题展开笔谈,本期先行刊登我省部分语文教育工作者撰写的笔谈稿,希望广大读者给予关注,欢迎大家参加笔谈。
How to comprehensively promote quality education in primary and secondary schools, especially how to implement the content of quality education in subject teaching, and to reflect the requirements of the times on the quality of students, is one of the major issues in the current deepening of education and teaching reform. Although Chinese language teaching has achieved some successes and solved some problems after more than 10 years of reforms, it is still very urgent to confront the challenges and answers of this issue in the process of further deepening reform today. The Provincial Education Commission plans to hold a seminar on language teaching reform in primary and secondary schools across the province this fall to study ways to further deepen the reform of Chinese language teaching in our province; and to use Chinese as a breakthrough to explore ways and means of implementing quality education in subject teaching. The convening of this meeting coincided with the 1962 anniversary of the Provincial Department of Education convening the Provincial Primary and Secondary Elementary Chinese Teaching Conference (referred to as the Changzhou Conference). In the history of language education in our province, the Changzhou Conference in 1962 was an important meeting. The speech made by Comrade Wu Tianshi, Director of the Department of Education of the Late Province, at the meeting was entitled “Strengthening Teaching and Fundamental Training of Basic Knowledge in Chinese Language”. The teaching of Chinese language in primary and secondary schools and normal schools in our province has played a significant role in promoting and has a certain influence in the country. People also look forward to the fact that the holding of the seminar on language teaching reform in primary and secondary schools across the province this year will have a positive and far-reaching impact on Chinese teaching in our province and even in the whole country. In order to welcome the convening of the conference, the journal intends to carry out pen talks on relevant issues. In this issue, we will first publish the written manuscript written by some language education workers in our province. We hope readers can pay attention to it and welcome everyone to participate in the conversation.
