S150型风砂轮由天水风动工具研究所于1970年设计,1971年1月试制的。1971年l～3月在北京化工搪磁厂和沈阳重型机器厂进行工业试验,并于当年做了进一步改进设计和重复试制,于1972年由天水燎原风动工具厂投入成批生产。 S150型风砂轮主要用以清理铸件浇冒口、大型机件的焊缝修光及金属构件的表面修正等。本机在铸造、锅炉、造船、桥梁建筑、工矿车辆、机车、机器制造及汽车制造厂广泛应用。
