茶壶,是一种泡茶和斟茶用的带嘴器皿。由壶盖、壶身、壶底、圈足四部分组成。由于壶的把、盖、底、形的细微差别,茶壶的基本形态就有近200种。茶壶自古以来属于生活用品,在实用功能之外还有不少的艺术价值。其中,壶身的图纹便是看点之一。它们不光体现出艺术家的智慧,还有社会的审美情趣,甚至当时的社会文化。更有甚者将茶壶当作身份的象征。茶壶图样常见的主要有花鸟鱼虫、山水风景、人物故事三大类。
