中共党内民主的发展从一个侧面反映中国共产党的历史。抗日战争时期,中共将党的建设事业与中华民族的解放事业相结合,积极实施全面抗战路线,大力推进党的建设“伟大工程”。按照马克思主义中国化的理路,中共在党的建设中构建了一系列党内政治生活的基本原则和行为准则,实现了党内民主跨越式的发展。尤其是延安整风运动的开展,不仅使中共党内从教条主义的束缚下解放出来,提高了全党结合中国革命实际运用马克思主义的水平,而且创造了既成功解决党内思想分歧和矛盾,又促进全党团结和统一全党思想这一中共党内民主的新范式。“实事求是”、“群众路线”、“惩前毖后,治病救人”、“批评与自我批评”等话语体系,不仅是中共党内政治生活民主化的标志,而且在历史积淀中衍生为中国政治文化的新元素。
