7月16日下午2点半,台湾电脑界的老兵大众电脑集团中专业工控机研究制造的新众电脑股份有限公司总经理林洽民先生,于其海淀区泛亚大厦17层的北京办事处,召开记者招待会,会中林总经理以幽默风趣的方式及丰富的专业知识侃侃而谈电脑界20年来的起起伏伏,并大胆预测工控系统未来的走向。林总经理表示:高档的工业控制系统,例如DCS、SCADA-RTU,自70年代中期以来,虽然应用了大量电脑工艺进步的成果,但其软、硬件的基本架构并非在PC电脑的主流范畴。在硬件上如DCS、PLC、INTEL的单片机架构、或是基于8051的Embeded Subsystem,各有所长。总线架构更有VME bus、Multi BusⅠ及Ⅱ、Unibus等,虽然VME bus已俨然成为标准,但其高成本高价位仍有一定的应用障碍,所以早有采用ISA bus的应用,可以牺牲一些功能,花最低成本达到客户要求。而软件工作平台上如:
