Objective To observe the curative effect of arterial intubation chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy on head and neck malignant tumor. Methods Forty-one patients with malignant head and neck cancer underwent retrograde superficial temporal artery catheterization (ICAT) with chemotherapeutic drugs, including DDP 2 0mg × 5, 5-Fu × 500mg × 5 and BLM 8mg × 2. After 2 weeks of intubation and chemotherapy, conventional radiotherapy was started. The primary dose of 60 0 0 ~ 70 0 0 cgy / 6 ~ 7W. Neck metastasis lymph nodes at 500 ~ 60 0cgy / 5 ~ 6W, were used 60CO irradiation. Results Before arterial catheterization, 28 patients had nasal congestion, headache, tinnitus and other symptoms were relieved. There were 18 cases of primary lesion and metastatic tumor shrinking. 4 weeks after radiotherapy to determine the efficacy: 28 cases of CR, 6 cases of PR, the total effective rate of 82 9%.
