谁能想象得到,一个初中二年级班,十七天没有教师的讲授、辅导和督促,学生能够自己查字典,学课文,做读书笔记,按进度完成学业计划。而在南丰一中,就有这么一个班。一九八三年底,担任这个班语文教学的熊信芝老师,应邀去北京参加全国中学语文教学研究会第三届年会,学校原准备为她派个代课教师,但同学们说:“我们自己会读书,不用另派老师了。”十七天后,熊信芝结束会议回来,同学们自己学完了四篇课文,她检查了学生的笔记,每个人都一课不缺,测验结果,成绩不逊于其他班级。人们会间:这个班学生自学能力是怎样培养出来的呢?应该说,这是熊信芝老师悉心改革教学方法的成果。
