In the Internet age, the increasing use of mobile devices has changed people’s way of life and working style. The traditional static display and graphic board can no longer meet the requirements of modern audiences, which makes the museum face the challenge of changing the mode of knowledge transmission. At the same time, the digital revolution has created a host of dazzling tools such as social media, digital publishing, augmented reality, and natural user interfaces that make the museum’s content more viable and receptive. Museums around the world are constantly innovating their presentation methods, providing us with lessons to learn from. The Shanghai Museum of Natural History, which was nurtured in the era of new media, carried out the application of information technology in all aspects of exhibition, education, research and collection. But change does not mean complete subversion. Because museums have diverse audiences. They were born in different times and have different learning habits. Therefore, museums must also grasp the degree of technological change to meet the needs of different audiences.
