The rapid growth of truck load capacity has created the need for large axles. The Axle Committee has proposed four wheels of 38 inches in diameter for a vote by letter. One of the two wide-flanged cast wheels of this size, one weal- on and the other two wear, are marked CB-38 and CC-38 Remember to say. A worn and double-worn wide rim roller is indicated by the B-38 and C-38 markings. All 38-inch wheels are designated for assembly on the lower axles (the car is 61/2 “x 12” in neck size) and the “raised-wheel-seataxle” in Class G (its nominal journal diameter is 7 Inch) on.
