Peer rejection and group exclusion are two types of social exclusion that children commonly encounter in the development process. Peer refusal reflects the difference between children, and exclusion of children indicates that children have a bias toward attitude toward members outside the group. Children’s aggression has a stereotypical difference between the two types of social exclusion, while rejection has a dynamic relationship between the two types of social exclusion. Studying these two kinds of social exclusion can provide theoretical support for the development of children’s social cognition and the improvement of social interaction skills.
