“The Last Appeal ” tells the story of a container / city block on the edge of Hong Kong that has been abandoned in the future and buried the rebels who fought for the fate of the city. This walled city symbolizes Hong Kong’s double criticism of fatalism: on the one hand unwillingness as a British colonial rule and on the other hand as an under the management of the principle of “one country, two systems” of China. Expressed the confusion of Hong Kong’s younger generation of residents in their loss of ownership and the helplessness of losing the rights of citizens who decide to belong. The author, Kelvin, delineates the ultimate outcome of this opposition, a warning from the future, a tribute to the stigmatized honor and the passing culture.
