经过六载春秋、五易其稿的紧张撰写,一部融科学性、求实性、资料性为一体的《湖北林业志》将于今年11月正式出版发行。参加撰写《湖北林业志》的有林业专家、教授及工程技术人员共80余人。全书主要记述近百余年来全省林业发展等基本情况,按照纵述历史、横陈现状的要求,分为概述、珍稀古大名木、营林事业、国营(集体)林场、森林保护、森林开发利用、森林副产物、林业勘察设计、林业科学技术、林业教育、林业行政管理、林业财务共12篇,47章,以及建国以来湖北林业大事记要和若干篇附录,约70余万字。收录珍贵历史照片及拍摄彩色照片200多幅,另有若干彩图及附表。
