文物所承载的优秀传统文化是中国文化世界化进程中应对全球化冲击、保持文化主体意识的基本因子,是国家和城市构建城市文化软实力与经济硬实力的坚实基础。以武汉市竹韵堂竹雕博物馆为代表的私人博物馆在中国优秀传统文化研究、传播和产品开发上具有其他企业和文化事业单位难以企及的优势。因此,依托于武汉竹韵堂竹雕博物馆馆藏竹雕艺术品,进行竹艺术文化研究、文化创意产品开发、竹文化产业园建设,是对提高城市文化软实力和经济硬实力的强有力支持,也是博物馆自身健康发展的必由之路。
