When the 8O2.11b wireless network is used more and more widely, the connection and integration with the traditional Ethernet network have become the topics that everyone cares about. And in the process of interconnecting with wired Ethernet, AccessPoint (AP) plays an important role. The normal AP works in HostAP mode and is used as an Ethernet bridge (see Figure 1). Unlike traditional wired Ethernet bridges, APs forward packets between wired and wireless terminals and also connect multiple wireless nodes. What users can sense is a slightly larger delay than wired Ethernet, and all previous applications on wired Ethernet can remain intact.
