记者:我们在边防一线采访中,亲身感受到10年来我国边防发生的巨大变化,您对“边防”二字是如何理解的?边防办负责人:我们常说“有国就有边,有边必设防”,说的是一个国家必然要有一定疆界,才能称之为国家.有了疆界以后,必须采取一定的措施来保卫它、管理它,这就是我们所说的边防.再说直白一点,边防其实就是一个国家的门户,就像一座院落需要砌一道围墙一样,一个国家的周边也要采取一定的防卫、管理措施.记者:新中国建立以后,国家在边防基础设施建设方面取得了哪些成绩?
