发展超临界机组是火力发电节约能源、改善环保和提高发电效率、开发大型机组、降低发电成本的必然趋势，是发展能与IGCC和PFBC相媲美的超超临界机组的前期技术。超临界机组已具有成熟的技术和良好的经济性能，并已为世界所共识。国内电网现已既可能又需要安装600MW和更大客量机组。上海汽轮机有限公司已有充分的能力，在与外商合作的基础上开发起始容量600MW的超临界机组。
The development of supercritical units is an inevitable trend of thermal power generation to save energy, improve environmental protection and improve power generation efficiency, develop large units and reduce power generation costs. It is an early stage technology for developing ultra-supercritical units comparable to IGCC and PFBC. Supercritical units have proven technology and good economic performance, and has been recognized by the world. Domestic power grids are now possible and need to install 600MW and larger passenger capacity units. Shanghai Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. has sufficient capacity to develop a 600 MW supercritical unit based on cooperation with foreign businesses.
