Shanghai Pudong New Area trial, demonstration and promotion of single-season late rice modern agronomic cultivation technology has 9 years of history. Repeated practice has proved that with labor, effort, the province, increase production, income and other advantages, economic and social benefits obvious. In 1994, the single-season late rice reached more than 120,000 mu, accounting for 79.3% of the total area, with an average yield of 553.07 kg per mu and a yield increase of 11.24% over the conventional transplanted rice of 497.18 kg.
