The dwell time distribution of reactant in the reactor is one of the most important basic concepts in mathematical simulation. It can provide valuable data for the flow characteristics of various types of reactors. Through the determination of the residence time distribution, the characteristics of the reactor can be fully estimated, and the measures for improving and strengthening the reactor are put forward. After studying the multi-tank series model for one and two years, the theoretical calculation formula of the residence time distribution density function in series reactor of different volume when using pulse tracing method is deduced mathematically.
