Some non-volcanic vibrations were observed in the Aleutian island arc. Seismological stations in large span areas on several volcanoes also detect chatter-like events and therefore can not be associated with any volcano. Although it is not yet possible to locate these jitters, we have given approximate locations based on the reflections and amplitudes of multiple stations. Most non-volcanic vibrations are recorded at the inferred PFC block or from creep to block lock transitions. There was a time when non-volcanic vibrations were recorded during the period of increased seismic activity and volcanic activity in the areas near the Grat Islands and the Andrianov Islands. A similar increase in synchronization was recorded in the Aleutian islands in the past and was assumed to be caused by a wide range of stress changes caused by slow-slip events. About a hour after the eruption of the Oakmount Volcano on July 12, 2008, significant non-volcanic vibrations were recorded at the Coloven and Grand Sitkin Seismic Networks. Non-volcanic vibrations do not appear scattered throughout the Aleutian Island arc, and appear to be concentrated in several areas. Using a 2500 km abatement zone, we had the opportunity to examine these areas and compare them with areas that did not produce non-volcanic vibrations in order to determine the contributing factors to the occurrence of this chatter.
