HP through the reliability design (DFR) method, all of HP’s R & D engineers must receive training on reliable product design, follow the mechanical, electrical and thermal design guidelines proposed by reliability experts, some of which follow the development of emerging technologies. For each new product, the designer applies an empirical model to predict the failure rate in the product life cycle. Once the product is enabled, the relevant personnel are also responsible for the failure rate. HP’s commitment to not having to modify software during the PC’s life cycle leaves users with no worries about their use.
