艺术作品及其媒质的关系,是艺术哲学的一大问题。艺术解释与艺术欣赏,皆要表现为对艺术作品及其媒质的关系进行裁决。而艺术创作,更是离不开对这种关系的观念把握。在这种裁决和把握中,有着两个极端。~1一方面是媒质透明论。训练有素的画家通过对颜料的处理,画成任何他想要画的东西。而观者则无需考虑颜料,他们的视线穿过颜料,直接投向艺术家用颜料画成的
The relationship between works of art and their media is a major issue of art philosophy. Artistic interpretation and appreciation of the arts must be reflected in the determination of the relationship between the work of art and its medium.
