四川省郫县犀浦公社从1964年起即在3,600亩小麦上施用硫酸铵作种肥,1965年温江专区有50万亩小麦采用这一方法。两年实践证明,硫酸铵作种肥克服了长期来小麦冬前生长不良所引起的穗数不足和穗子小的缺点,可以显著提高产量,为进一步创造高产打下基础。通过群众性对比试验证明,用同量硫酸铵作种肥比作分蘖肥增产,使多年来群众重施底肥的经验得到了提高。

Two years of practice proved that ammonium sulfate as a seed fertilizer to overcome the long-term malnutrition caused by the winter before the shortage of ears and short ears, can significantly improve the yield, lay the foundation for further high yield. Mass contrast test proved that with the same amount of ammonium sulfate as seedling ratio of tillering fertilizer production, so that the masses over the years experience of heavy application of base fertilizer has been improved.
