To study the characteristics, intensity, frequency, and response to treatment of GBS pain, 55 prospective longitudinal studies were performed in 55 consecutive GBS patients admitted to hospital, At 16 and 24 weeks, a uniform standard was used to determine pain and characteristics, intensity, degree of relief, and degree of dysfunction. The results showed that 49 GBS patients (89.1%) had pain during the course of the disease with an average pain intensity of 4.7 ± 3.3, of which 26 (47.3%) patients had severe pain (mean intensity 7.0 ± 2.0), the most common pain combination Symptoms were back pain, leg pain and hyperalgesia at the distal end of the limb. The pain intensity at admission was not related to the degree of neurological dysfunction at admission and throughout the course of the illness. 41 patients (74.5%) required opiate analgesics, of which 16 (29.0%) with post-morphine pain relief
