Pancreatic adenocarcinoma of the pancreas has traditionally been considered to have a poor prognosis. The patient’s long-term survival rate is low. Its incidence is lower than that of the pancreatic head cancer. The patient is admitted to the hospital late, and the course of disease has reached late stage. The resection rate is low. American Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center treated 1363 cases of pancreatic cancer from 1983 to 1994, and 271 cases underwent surgical resection, including 237 cases of pancreatic cancer and 34 cases of pancreatic cancer. The author looked at all inpatients.
