Objective: To investigate the imbalance of Th1 / Th2 cytokines in peripheral blood of patients with ovarian cancer and its clinical significance. Methods: The frequencies of INF-γ + cells and IL-4 + cells in peripheral blood of 36 ovarian cancer patients and 10 healthy women were detected by ELISPOT assay. Results: There was a trend of Th2 hyperactivity in peripheral blood of patients with ovarian cancer, and this change was more obvious with the rising of clinical stage. Conclusion: The imbalance of Th1 / Th2 cytokines in the peripheral blood of patients with ovarian cancer may play an important role in the development of ovarian cancer, which is of certain significance for the evaluation of prognosis.
