Objective To investigate the role of permeabili-ty-surface area product (PS) in hemorrhagic transformation of patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods This prospective study was approved by the institutional review board and all participants signed a written informed consent. Forty-one patients with acute stroke underwent dual-phase CT perfusion imaging within 3 hours of onset of stroke symptoms to enable PS measurements.
