Tenmyouya Hisashi was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1966 and refers to his work as Neo Nihonga (Neo-Japanese Paintings) and considers its definition to include Ukiyo-e. It is he who has revived traditional Japanese paintings from deep sleep, “I believe that modern painting should draw on a variety of themes ranging from contemporary life and social irony to Buddhism and traditional Zen painting. Reference is made to the traditional techniques used in classical painting Metal lines, thick or thin adjustment lines, monochrome), and toning pigments. ”So as a branch of painting, Neo Nihonga illustrates once again that the visual representation of painting movements predates the creation of paintings.
