According to the analysis of the Ticon-like laminated stone samples of the Neoproterozoic Jiudingshan in northern Jiangsu Province, we can tentatively reveal that there are two types of microbial seats that can form Conophyton-like strata. These two types of chairs are referred to by the authors as “firstmicrobialmat” and “succedentmicrobialmat”. They play a different role in the occurrence and development of monolayers. Morphology of the Conophyton stratum may be closely related to the shape of the microbial mat which acts as a growth “shoot” or mold during the formation of strata. The succession of microbial mats only serves as an increase or increase in stratum and its development is often conditioned by the environment.
