中国科学院遗传研究所专家近日透露,我国首批六种太空花卉已经在京郊繁育成功,2002年内就有可能正式投放市场。 专家介绍说,1996年10月发射升空的国土普查卫星首次搭载了他客来、三色槿、美国石竹等30多种花卉种子。这些花卉种子借助太空中的超真空、微重力以及宇宙射线等地面不可模拟的环境,发生了基因的重组,返回地面后,普遍在花期、花型、株型等方面发生了变化。
Experts from the Institute of Genetics of Chinese Academy of Sciences revealed recently that the first batch of six kinds of space flowers in China has been bred successfully in the suburbs of Beijing. It is probable that it will be put on the market formally in 2002. According to experts, in the first national terrestrial census satellite launched in October 1996, more than 30 kinds of flower seeds such as Hakka, Tricolor, Dianthus were released for the first time. These flower seeds have undergone gene recombination with the help of super-vacuum, microgravity and cosmic rays in space. After returning to the ground, the flower seeds have generally changed in flowering, flower pattern and plant type.
