由于各个遗传病非常少见,故产科医生在实际中遇到的每一特殊遗传病也罕见,然而,有遗传基础或有遗传影响的疾病至少占总住院病人的10%.许多遗传病可影响妊娠,妊娠同样也可影响许多遗传病过程.其影响范围可从Rh因子不合的胎儿成红细胞增多症特异性抗体形成到伴有大量骨骼发育异常所致的非特异性头盆不称(见表二).识别孕期遗传病特异影响,可使产科医生预测、处理、甚或防止许多由于遗传病与妊娠相互影响所引起的一系列问题.
