生态危机亦即物的危机。物的危机深蛰在人对物的活动方式之中。当人普遍地、唯一地把物揭示为“抽象物”特别是“有用物”的时候 ,就遮蔽了物“自身”。生态危机就是这种遮蔽所带来的一个显见后果。环境保护根本上是对物的保护。最好的保护就是要使受到如此遮蔽的物重新作为“自身”来存在。而自然审美正好昭示出一条使物回到“自身”的道路 ,正好公开出物作为“自身”存在的现象实情。这正是一种本然意义上的自然保护。普遍持有这样的态度和方式 ,乃是通向危机消除、缓解的第一步 Ecological crisis is the crisis of things.
