桃江县高桥乡中心小学位于桃花江畔浮丘山下的小山湾村,创建于1951年。目前学校有教职工19名,教学班8个和学前班1个,在校学生370名,在班幼儿42名。 1980年以来,学校在注重抓好学生德育、智育、体育的同时,以《两个暂行规定》为依据,贯彻预防为主的方针,狠抓了学生防近工作,取得了可喜的成绩。11年来,学生视力正常率保持100％。经省地县验收成为我县第一所无近乡中心小学。1991年全国学校防近卫生工作现场会在这里召开。我们的具体做法是: 1 改善办学条件,优化防近工作环境。11年来学校自筹资金1万多元,美化绿化了校园环境,绿化面积350平方米,绿化覆盖率达65％。为了保证室内采光系数,除按标准建好教室外,教室的墙壁每年粉刷一次,每间教室还安装了6盏100W的白炽灯,以备阴雨天之用。1988年,学校按照国家教委、卫生部颁布的有关(规 Taojiang County Gaoqiao Township Central Primary School was founded in 1951 in the Xiaowan Village of Fuqiu Mountain beside the Taohua River.
