《少年派的奇幻漂流》是加拿大作家扬·马特尔于2001年创作的小说,后因李安导演将其搬上大银幕并凭借此片斩获奥斯卡最佳导演奖而名声大噪。这部小说受到全世界读者广泛追捧的原因不仅在于主人公派的离奇经历,更重要的是作品引发了多元化文化思考。本文从后殖民主义的视角,包括身份与认同、自我与他者、文化帝国主义等方面,分析这部小说的文化内涵,旨在探求在文化全球化背景下,个人和民族身份定位的问题。
Fantastic Rafting for Teenagers, a novel written by Jan Martell, a Canadian writer, in 2001, became widely known for being directed by director Ang Lee on the big screen and winning the Academy Award for Best Director for this film. The reason why this novel has been widely sought after by readers all over the world is not only because of the bizarre experience of the protagonist school, but more importantly, it has given rise to pluralistic cultural thinking. This article analyzes the cultural connotation of this novel from the perspective of post-colonialism, including identity and identity, self and others, and cultural imperialism, aiming at exploring the issue of the identity of individuals and nations in the context of cultural globalization.
