目前,在出版业业内,从事出版活动的主体一出版社,大多数还停留在传统的流程模式之上:从策划选题,组稿编辑,印刷装帧再到最后的发行流通,都是按部就班的依照某种意义上的程式来展开的一系列生产与经营活动。 然而,随着数字技术对出版业的逐步深入发展,建立在数字化技术框架之下加工生产图书等信息产品的过程,以及生产出的最终的产品属性都不同于以往传统出版物,由于依赖数字技术手段构建起来的出版方法具备信息传播的天然优势,所以它必将调整出版业业内从业人员的作业习惯,实现整合包括图书在内的信息产品生产加工的流程再造工程。 数字技术对出版信息记录媒介由传统的单一的纸质介质向电子以及网络等多样化媒介全方位逐步渗透,由此整个出版业的出版格局也产生了多样性的变化。 随着出版业业内数字化进程的加快,记录信息的载体,即适应数字化媒介的出版物也随之出现了多样化。
