2013年2月,上海东方卫视启动《舞林争霸》节目,一方面学院舞者与草根舞者通过赛事相互对抗,草根舞者的崛起实为为一场夺权运动,蚕食着原本属于学院派的东西,舞林争霸,与其说争的是生存权不如说争的是话语权;另一方面草根与学院舞者也存在着合谋,草根并不一定就完全是草根,他们同时也在吸收着学院派的东西,学院也并不就仅仅是学院,他们也在吸收着草根的东西,类似中国传统文化的雅俗互动。同时通过草根与学院的争锋,对当下学院舞蹈教学也有诸多启示,传统的教育模式如何突破瓶颈,开拓出新的培养机制,培养出更多具有风格多样性的舞蹈人才。
