美国戏剧家尤金奥尼尔的《进入黑夜的漫长历程》中的女主人公玛丽是一个悲剧性的人物,她在剧终时进入疯癫状态。本文将运用拉康的镜像阶段理论和克里斯蒂娃的心理分析来解剖玛丽的女性心理世界和女性话语,并将玛丽疯癫的原因归于她不能按照象征界(父权社会)对女性的性别要求来履行贤妻良母的责任,因此只好借助吗啡的麻醉,让自己在心理上回到想象界。
