日本自由飞行器平台SFU(Space Flyer Unit)是文部省宇宙科学研究所经过基础研究和通产省经过预研,于1987年列入国家计划。它使用H-Ⅱ火箭发射,置于500公里高,倾角28.5°的轨道上,在完成几个月的实验和观测任务后,降到300公里轨道上,等待航天飞机回收。 SFU的直径为4.7m,高度为2.85m,采用八角形桁架结构,设6个有效载荷舱和2个公用舱,舱的外形为箱形。有效载荷舱的最大连续排热能力为380W,耗功为1kW。一、系统组成
SFU (Space Flyer Unit) of Japan is the National Astronautical Science Institute under the Ministry of Basic Research and MITI through pre-research, in 1987 included in the national plan.
