以青藏铁路、京沪线电气化胜利开通为标志,铁路建设上半年完成投资创历史纪录:全国完成铁路基本建设投资621.9亿元,同比增长1.9倍。其中铁路基建大中型项目完成投资613.64亿元,同比增长2倍。京津、郑西、武广、合武、合宁、温福、广深港、广珠等客运专线绝大部分项目完成投资达到考核指标。目前,全路年累计完成新线铺轨238.2km,复线铺轨525km;新线投产1306km,复线投产460km,电气化铁路投产1454km。2006年上半年,铁道部各建设单位认真贯彻全路工作会议
Taking the opening of the electrification of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the Beijing-Shanghai line as the symbol, the railway construction completed a record investment in the first half of the year. The national railway infrastructure investment was 62.19 billion yuan, an increase of 1.9 times over the same period of last year. Among them, the railway infrastructure medium-sized and large-sized projects completed an investment of 61.364 billion yuan, an increase of 2 times over the same period of last year. The majority of passenger dedicated lines in Beijing, Tianjin, Zhengxi, WuGuang, HeWu, HeNing, WenFu, GuangShenGang and GuangZhu completed their investment and reached the assessment targets. Currently, a total of 238.2km of new track laying and 525km of double track laying are completed in the whole year; 1306km of new lines are put into operation, 460km of double lines are put into operation, and 1454km of electrified railways are put into operation.
