By March 1998, Internet users will be able to register with seven new top-level domains. According to a plan announced on November 4, the old domain name and InterNIC will face a competition. At first glance, the plan is simple and straightforward, but it is not that simple as it relates to domain names. Despite the confidence of planners, it remains a question of their ability to implement the plan.
