The reform of the medical security system is an important part of the reform of China’s social security system and is a necessary condition for establishing and improving a socialist market economic system. The implementation of this reform will better protect the basic medical care of employees, curb excessive growth of medical expenses, and promote the healthy development of health services. But it will inevitably lead to the demand structure of medical services, the distribution of health resources and the operating mechanism of medical institutions.
