《大学英语教学大纲》规定:要求学生在基础阶段,能顺利阅读并正确理解一般题材、语言难度较高的文章,速度达到每分钟70个单词。在阅读难度较低,生词不超过总词数3％的文章或材料时,速度达到每分钟120个单词,阅读理解的准确率不低于70％。在大学英语基础阶段的教学中,培养和提高学生的阅读理解能力,尽快使他们的英语水平达到上述规定要求,是英语教学的关键所在。
The College English Syllabus stipulates: Students should be able to successfully read and correctly understand general topics and language-intensive articles at the basic stage at a speed of 70 words per minute. When reading articles or materials with low difficulty and no more than 3% of the total words, the speed reaches 120 words per minute, and the reading comprehension accuracy is not less than 70%. In the basic stage of college English teaching, to cultivate and improve students’ reading comprehension ability to make their English proficiency meet the above requirements is the key to English teaching.
