报纸是以版面形式呈现给读者的新闻媒介与视觉艺术。在日趋激烈的新闻竞争中,版面的改革与创新越来越受到各家报纸的重视。尤其是党报,在新闻领域里,它不仅受到视听艺术新军电视的冲击,更要迎接近年来新涌现出的众多行业的、系统的、以及各式各样的生活小报的挑战,版面的改革与创新更是势在必行。因此,党报作为我国报纸的基本力量,在这一“冲击”与“挑战”面前,如何定准基调,把握尺度,在保持自己品位的基础上进行版面改革与创新,办出各自的特色,已成为报人不得不认真研究与探讨的课题。
